Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) tells the horror story of a mexican american neighborhood in in found footage format in wich lives Jesse (Andrew Jacobs) and his best friends Marisol (Gabrielle Walsh), and Hector (Jorge Diaz). The stories told by the neighbors say that near their floor lives a "Bruja" (witch) and it is common to hear moans and strange terrorific sounds. The interesting part of the plot stars when Jesse and Hector decide to disturb the so called "Bruja" as part of their fun games with the new camera that Jesse bought with the money recieved as graduation present from his father. Unfortunately the Old lady discover them and scream to them in spanish that they will suffer for their insolence.

The fifth paranormal activity of the series has been categorized as a spin off in which we can only find out why until we watch it from start to end.
It is better than the fourth one and it has more production and better actors but still is a low budget film ; which actually has been the success of this series of films
it looks like both were planned at the same time and the producers decided to release first the movie that we know now as the fourth one
If you are a fan of the series but you hate the fourth one you will like this one
If you are of the series unconditionally, you will love this one
If you never felt like into this movies avoid it, simply don't try it you won't like it
