Love (2015)

A Drama movie written and directed by Gapar Noe, which participated in Cannes Festival the same year.

Without knowing too much about the movie’s background, it called our attention with the promo poster. A warm red or pink tones picture with three mouths tongue kissing, typography in white color and imitating something white and sticky and the best of all these it was been exhibited in fabulous 3D!

By reaserching this film the only good thing we found is that Gaspar was already well known for his film Irreversible, and that his new movie Love has been making noise for its strong sexual scenes giving it the highest viewers rate within a commercial film and being one yard to reach a XXX rate.
So, we impatiently went to buy the tickets for the movie Who doesn’t want to watch some dicks and tits in 3D? Right? With that little information we got about the film, we were waiting for an erotic ironic and funny movie in 3D, but it resulted in something different.

Movie trailers end, Cannes logo appears, the lights of the theater go down and…BANG! A couple enjoying of their genitals with their hands in a very horny way appears, the scene has zero dialogues with moaning and some romantic music. This first scene achieves it, the audience has been warned, the movie will show lots and lots of sex and you are still on time to leave your seat and watch the new chipmunk’s movie; because the best is just about to cum.

Love it’s a film that catches you with its visuals, since you realize that almost the entire movie has been made in a foreground, showing the characters from head to shoulders only. Changing to different type of shots on sex scenes. Sex Scenes have been styled so they become a whole trip as one of the best scenes where as background music play Funkadelic’s Magot Brain (the band that inspired our name outerspaceunk) while the characters are enjoying of a very sexy trio. All this sexual scenes reminds us to a golden age of porno, making this movie to fall into a piece of art with vintage look.
Love is the story of two lovers that once they were full of promises and dreams together but now they are living separated and depressed. With the old trick of telling a shuffled romantic story, Gaspar Noe creates an expectative and curiosity to know what happened to our depressed married characters, were they ever been happy? How their hearts become into pieces? and what will happen at the end of the story?

The plot becomes secondary when you have a movie that takes you from the beginning to the end of the credits into a 2 hours visual trip. It makes your eyes to amaze with colors and figures, focusing and bluring shots at the rhythm of music and sex making this movie into an eye opening visually satisfactory that we were expecting but we didn’t knew when seeing at that pinky reddish poster in amazing 3D.

The captaing gives this movie 4 stars of funkiness over 5
